I know this isn't new, but I've got to vent.

I was running my new fortress.  (And doing very well.)  I just built a new farming paddy.  So, I opened the main and paddy floodgates to irrigate it.

But, I opened the wrong one, wiping out a good seasons work.  But some idiot had propped open the door with a rock.  And then I hadn't sealed off that corridor.  So a good portion of my fort was underwater and gameplay slowed to a crawl.  And I hadn't save.  Woe is me.
