Armor stockpile
« on: December 16, 2011, 10:26:24 am »

i made a universal stockpile when i had just begun the game for the embark supplys etc. then i usualy ban one item after other when ive made more and bigger ones now recently i banned armor there and all my haulers started moving metal armors away. then i made an order to make leather cloaks and hoods since i was about to start a military Now Urist Mcleatherworker wants to put those in the universal stockpile even thogh i forbid leather armor there. i made a dedicated armor stockpile in my barracks becuse i wanted the military to equip properly. are leather armor counted as finished goods or something ?

Not sure, but it's possible DF doesn't consider leather cloaks and hoods to be armor.  In fact, I wouldn't be surprised at all if it just considered them to be clothing.

Most types of clothing are considered finished goods. If you want your finished goods piles to not accept clothing, disable the armor, footwear, headwear, handwear, and legwear item types there. You'll also probably want to set your "armor" stockpile to accept those finished good types, though perhaps preferably only those made of leather.
