Nobles and doors
« on: May 16, 2008, 01:57:00 am »

I checked the forum and buglist, and couldn't find a report for this, so here goes. My mayor just had a demand for a brass door in his office. Fortunately, I had enough brass to make one, but when I installed the door the demand still showed as unmet. After a bit of thought I set the door to internal and resized the room. That fixed it; however, I'd file this as a bug due to unintended behavior.

It may possibly be intentional. If you pay attention to what happens to non-internal doors, you'll notice they're not included in the green area that appears when you assign a room. Thus, a non-internal door wouldn't be considered "in" the guy's room.

I get plenty of "admired fine own door" sorta thoughts for non-indoor doors, they are counted as something, though don't show up on the list of say coffers and cabinets....

I usually make nobles little walk-in closets to keep their cabinets in. It is a great way to include valuable doors.
