I'm considering trying this...

Also, Dsarker, your avatar is mildly hypnotic. It just keeps spinning and spinning and spinning and spinning...

well, my 'chosen one' was born in the spring of my fortresses 11th year (now pop 241), while his mother (farmer/axedwarf) was training in the barracks. just after his birth, a seven-headed hydra appeared... and died on the first weapon trap it came to. (3 hydra tallow in stockpile now, i saw a butcher working with its severed first neck). he likes gold and green glass, so i have begun work on his future tower.

Chosen one, in a position of power? Hell no! He has to grow be a simple farm child, from a poverty stricken family. He's also not allowed to fit in with the other dwarves, he must be ridiculed constantly, and be considered an outcast for his unique perspectives.

Only complete underdogs are allowed to be chosen ones. It's a rule, or something...

Welp, there I go. Send a search party in about a week. I might be done by then.

On topic, this challenge looks very interesting. Simply getting a fort to last long enough for dwarves to die of old age is challenging enough. Considering in one of my forts, a child just made an artifact bone crown, I believe he shall be my chosen one.

*crawls back from beyond tvtropes*

ow. i ran into the forgotten beast 'Vista Antivirus 2012' malware, its poisonous vapors disabled the .exe and struck down about a season worth of fortress. it was struck down by a mastercrafted Webroot SecureAnywhere.

i serioursly did not expect that kind of malware, i must have found the cavern level of tvtropes >.>
