Reinstalling Hamachi always fixes my problems (usually the 'Cannot connect to engine' one).

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

Hello? A SotS I multiplayer thread?

Count me in, though I have nil idea what Hamachi is and I only have the basic version of SotS. No DLC Whatsoever.

Hamachi is a virtual LAN system. Lets you use the LAN function for internet games in stuff like Civ IV and SotS, legal version or not. All the expansions use the same serial, so if you want you technically could obtain yonder seaworthy objects and use them, along with the 1.8.0 patch at the end.

You could get the expansions in a piratey way if you want, since they use the same serial as the main game. 1.8 is the most recent version. :|

I don't have any piratey ways. I haven't walked that particular path quite yet. The only pirate site I know anything about doesn't recognize it.

You could try...buying it. Gasps all around, I know.  :-\

I personally got Argos Shipyards from Amazon, and you can find the expansions probably dirt cheap anywhere, considering the second Sots is already out.

Pshh, I've actually been looking at buying the complete collection.

Right now I'm just deliberating over whether or not to go with a downloaded one, or a disc. I like all the stuff (Read: Manuals) that come with discs, but I'd have to wait quite a while.

(I wasn't joking when I said that I haven't pirated stuff.)

Complete collection is pretty good, it has all of the stuff. And I got the manual as a pdf from GamersGate after I won the giveaway we had here for it earlier. Really just depends on whether you want the disc or not.

How do I get the manual as a pdf? All it's offering is the game.

I know the Steam version comes with a PDF manual included.

Anyway, a sure place to search for a... seaworthy copy of the game is a certain Pirate site whose name I'd rather not explicitly state here in Bay 12
