infinate loop cage/uncage criminal

so i have just traded a load of stuff, traders have set off and the count bans exports of some stuff (that or the stuff was in bins so it got brought to the depot even though the culling on mandates was set) either way, stuff got exported that shouldn't, so now my justice screen was full of 51 day jail sentences and "1 hammer strike" sentences, one dwarf in particular had both a jail time and a hammer strike to do, so i activate all dwarfs who have a hammerstrike coming too them and give them steel plate armour and shield.

of course, the fact they are now solders meant most of them got beatings...

now, the dwarf with jail time and a hammer strike, he got put in jail.
did his time
hammerer let him out of jail
he starts walking away free
hammerer puts him back into jail
hammerer let him out of jail
he starts walking away free
hammerer puts him back into jail
hammerer let him out of jail
he starts walking away free
hammerer puts him back into jail
hammerer let him out of jail
he starts walking away free
hammerer puts him back into jail
hammerer let him out of jail

etc

i tried making him a royal guard while he was free, made no difference

i tried making him military and then de-activating him
he starts walking away free

hammerer let him out of jail

(all the while his sentence is now just "1 hammer strike"

eventually, when he was in the cage, i de-constructed the cage

built it again (but not as a jail cage), and used a lever to let the dwarf out, dwarf was then given a beating and left alone

   
(i later had a whole load of "cancels releasing large creature:wrong justice state x19" and "cancels caging large creature:wrong justice state x19" etc)

i have a copy a save where the loop is happening

(now my dutchess has demanded an "item", though this has already been mentioned elsewhere, i might try making armour stands etc out of her favourite materials and see if i can get it to go away)

This sounds different from the recover wounded/cage conflict, so I'd like to take a look at the save.  Thanks for helping out!

should load up viewing the jail just after hammer released the dwarf, when the hammerer isn't distracted he constantly jails and releases the dwarf.

The prisoner was linked to a cage and the hammerer wanted a chain for the hammerstrike.  It can now clear out the cage designation if it has to and shouldn't initiate that type of problem to begin with for the next version.
