Hooking a PS2 up to a monitor
« on: November 14, 2011, 03:44:14 pm »

So I recently bought a PS2 on a whim, and due to my lack of TV, figured I could hook it up to my monitor. One Scart to VGA lead (and a connector because both Scart cables are male) later and the monitor refuses to acknowledge the PS2's existence. The PS2 works fine, but I'm not sure if there's something I'm missing, be it a menu option on the monitor or some cabling or something. Anyone got any ideas?

My monitor has an Input option in its menu. Have you looked there? (Don't forget the sub-menus.)

If you have something other display that will accept VGA input, it obviously wouldn't hurt to try that - see if it's a problem with the cable or PS2.

I've not used a PS2, but if it has multiple output locations, that could be a possible source of error.
