Okay, so I've learned that Adamantine viens are shaped like spires, so I've managed to get at some of it and I'm planning on continuing mining it, but I still want to remove the water. Luckily I've found the magma sea, except it's right underneath the water, and all my attempts at channeling the water has always caused this result:

The magma underneath becomes obsidian and the water floods the adamantine vien.

Solution?

Lesson learned:

"When in doubt, pour more magma on it"

if its not submerged: build a floor/bridge to reach it. simple and easy. If its submerged, there are 4 possebileties for it:

1: drain/pump the water away.hard, when it keeps refilling from outside the map.
2: dig into it from below. But you cant mine the outer walls that are submerged
3: magma the water above it and be a happy miner.
4: prety much line 3. just dont use magma and instead cave-in enought earth on it, until it reaches the surface.
