Altering population limits in save games?
« on: October 30, 2011, 07:26:41 pm »

I've been playing a game and so far it's been going pretty well but I was wondering if I could edit my population cap for a fort that already existed?  I have also been wondering what to cap it at, at the moment I recon 60 should be enough for my needs without harming my framerate too much?

In order to change your pop-cap, go to your df folder: data->init->d_init.txt and alter [POPULATION_CAP:xx]
Remember, that it works with a delay of 1 or 2 waves.
Once altered, the new option will work on any opened save. So, you can turn on and off such things like: weather, temperature, invaders, immigrants, babies ...

Build a grid of floor grates above the entire city. Draft a squadron of masons and bomb the crap out of the city with falling constructed walls.
