Caravan pathing issues

Last night I had a minor annoyance while playing..
The human caravan popped in to say hi and sell me some cheese, however one of their swordsman felt that the groundhogs were a major threat to it's safety and proceeded to exterminate a large cluster..
However, I assume that duing the winter 2 had walked across the ice ont a small area that had been islanded in the middle of the river.
They must have been there a while as they even had some pups with them.
The human warrior stood at the edge of the river, frantically trying to do the impossible and path to them.
This had the negative effect of drastically lagging up the game as I assume it was stuck pathfinding and eating up a ton of CPU cycles.

I'm making another assumption that he had a passion for slaying groundhog pups that just couldn't be satiated.

It was simple to fix, once I realized, I simply sent a marksdawrf to crawl at a snailspace over there and shoot them all. But figured I'd better post the issue.

Odd, I guess he isn't doing the component check properly, or the components didn't update properly when the ice melted.  I'll note it down.
