Seeds disappearing

The farmers in my game are going to get seeds from the seed barrel, but when they do the seeds just disappear!

They go for the barrel and attempt to take a seed out of it.  The barrel then lists its inventory as 1 less of that seed type.  And then the farmer goes to attempt to plant the seed (although there is no seed in their inventory, nor is there a blinking seed icon on the farmer).  Once they get to the plot, I get a "job cancelled, job item destroyed" message.  Then the farmer goes back to my barrel to destroy more of my seeds!

Interestingly enough, some of the seeds are legitimate (you can see the farmer carrying them, it's in their inventory, and gets planted appropriately), but only about 50% of the time...  I can provide a save if you need it.
