Infected Dwarfs
« on: October 05, 2011, 08:39:19 pm »

A bunch of my military dwarfs were attacked and went to the hospital, after being all fixed up, i looked through the health screen and notcied that they were infected. I just made soap, will they die from an infection? or will they use the soap?

Soap helps to prevent infection, it does not get rid of it. If they are infected, all you can really do is wait it out and hope they get better. Whenever my dwarves get an infection, they normally survive.... normally. I'd say maybe.. a 60-70% survival rate?

Plus if its just like one part thats infected(you can check by checking there personal injury page) then you dont need to worry, but if you got like 4+ you better hope to god that he can fend it off as most dwarves die if they got that many infections. Eather way they WILL go away and dont worry about them they only got like 1-2.
Also infection causes death by causing the creature to lose blood.

Any thoughts on how this can be abused?

Infections in bone don't seem to do anything.
