Odd graphics

So er, geforce 6200 with driver version 169.21.

Any ideas as to why this looks like complete fail?

Did you make any driver changes, Dwarf Fortress init changes, or Dwarf Fortress graphic pack changes recently that you can think of?

havent touched the init, but the nvidia drivers are beta. I will rollback and see if it makes a difference.

This looks like the textures are corrupted in the geforce memory.  It's not affecting the 2D programs, implying that parts of the graphics memory are ok, as is the bus between CPU and GPU.

If this happens reliably, every time you try to start DF, I'd bet on drivers.

If this happens randomly, or only once, I'd bet on overheating or (the one nobody thinks of) power supply problems.

I have this exact same problem with my setup. Where can I get old drivers and how far back do I need to roll me elite gaming rig to play?

Haha, you only need to set on the nvidia control panel, the graphics settings to anything other that "High Performance". Had this problem too. I just set it at "Quality" and everything returned to normal.

Maybe hehe. My control panel is not in english, so I don't really know how it's supposed to be in english. But its something like that.
