Well, I had them held back pretty securely.. or so I thought. A pair of bridges I had placed in a hallway [which I had dubbed the 'Venus Goblin Trap'] was apparently not heat-proof. One of the ones of fire got close, and they disassembled from the heat. The problem was I didn't notice until I started getting 'Urist ha been struck down.'. My military ran into the main hall and started fighting, and pushed them back into the main hall before their numbers became too much. One by one they were killed, and my civilians were at their mercy.

My last living dwarf was, and you're not gonna believe this, but a furnace operator who was the husband of the hammerlord who's daughter joined the military. I threw him into a squad by himself, and figured what the hell. He killed two demons with his bare hands [the demons of steam. not a huge feat but whatever] before a Devil of Fire showed him his fireball. Thus ends Icycrystals.
