Beekeeping
« on: September 29, 2011, 12:52:24 am »

I have like five dwarves who are all "installing a colony in hive" except when I look at them they're all stacked up on top of each other on an empty tile =/ anyone got a clue what they're doing?

Edit: my bad I just looked it up and I see it's a pretty common bug. Should've done that before making topic >.<

There's a bug, i ran into it too.  They are all attempting to move the same hive, and someone's gotten it first.  The rest just stand there and wonder what to do.

I fixed this by:

* Disabling beekeeping on those dwarves
* Cancelling pending hive buildings
* Deconstructing empty hives

This will remove the need for beekeeping, which is the kick in the pants they need to get back in gear.  While you're installing colonies, right now it's best to only have one dwarf assigned.  Once all your hives are filled up, you can enable beekeeping on multiple dwarves for product collection.
