For some reason none of my dwarfs will pick up any of my fallen soldiers when they are unable to move. I've even took off jobs for some of my idle workers and set it to health care yet no one will pick him up. Out of all of the soldiers it turned out to be a champion.  :(

It is also kind of whack how when we are in an emergency state they will find other petty task to do rather than the most urgent ones. I suggest maybe having a priority level for each task and have them go for the most important ones first.

Hi!

The problem could be that the soldier is not "requesting help". I had people with serious injuries carry on business as usual, falling unconscious every other frame (spamming me with those cancellation messages).

The way I understand the system is that a seriously wounded dwarf has to "realize" that she is in need for help. This will then create a "rescue task" which will be handled by healthcare people. But if there is no "rescue task", no help will be given (there seem to be similar problems with interrupted resting).

Thus, I suggest you undraft and draft the wounded soldier. When changing status, he/she might realize that enough is enough and finally call for help.

It would also be nice if there was a 'medic' sub-role.  If we could give someone a job of running a hospital... making bandages and salves... stuff like that..

Also a good addition for our current more military direction.

That medic idea is a genius idea. It would also work with the diseases or plagues and produce antidotes for certain illnesses.
