Let's Play (almost 50 minutes long): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9LcSYXep-kg

and a shorter, no commentary video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pTfHWCQiFcA

First, it was originally released on the iOS...however, the game is actually really good! So it being from iOS shouldn't be a factor. What could be is the very old school feel to the game, similar to Might and Magic RPG. Also a bit similar in game style to Legend of Grimrock (however quite different). While I have not bought it yet (its only 10 dollars and the new DLC is only 7 dollars. What you get is around 40 hours for base game, and DLC actually adds another 30 or so hours to the game. So that is quite a huge DLC for such a low price. I DID however play the game since my friend bought it and I played it on his Steam account to check it out, and its actually really well made. And once I figure out what my money is like this month, I'll definitely be picking it up.

So about the game's development. It was made by three people (one of the devs left however, I think quite a time back, but the two remaining guys have done a really good job on it). So a really small dev team, but they seem to update things quite frequently. Its also a fully released game, no early access.

As for the game. You pick from from 5 races and you can customize your class (and there is a lot of choices). The world is open and actually really large, there is a lot to explore. You don't get quest markers (which might be a negative for some) and there is no magical fast travel (well I say that, but nothing that I could find when I played). There is weather however, is supposed to have an affect on you/world. Weather is said to have a gameplay effect. With that, I didn't get enough time to see that feature, so I'm actually not sure what that feature does (if anything).

The artwork might not be liked by everyone, but I think its really unique and I like it. Its not the greatest artwork in the world, but I've definitely seen far worse posted here :P The gameplay however (that I experienced) is amazing. And I still think its a nice 2d/artsy kinda style. And if you couldn't tell from the oldschool might and magic, Daggerfall...or legend of grimrock that I listed...movement is quite different from modern games. You move a "tile" at a time, and combat can actually be quite slow as well. One of the "cons" someone listed in steam review was the very slow combat since gotta move around and he is right, it does tend to be slow. Movement kinda is stiff and not fluid compared to having a more modern movement like morrowind/skyrim or whatever, which is how the old might and magic and Daggerfall games were.

Quests seem really well written. Some of its kinda typical quests, but I ran into a few pretty unique ones. And some of the events/encounters are kinda funny. And while I didn't see this myself, my friend said he found a virgin who was offering herself for money, he was like oh yeah, and then he got a disease :P He posted it on the artwork page, he thought it was hilarious.

The store page, and videos will do a far better job at showing the game than a post. However, I definitely highly recommend checking it out. Game is definitely niche, but I think its a game some here will like.

:)
