Autopause on building destroyed/toppled
« on: September 11, 2011, 01:39:57 pm »

The suggestion is for Toady to add support in announcements.txt and in the game so that we could have the game automatically pause when a building is destroyed or toppled. It can sometimes be a very important event, like when a creature is smashing through your front door. It is certainly as or more deserving of autopause than one of your dwarves giving birth to a baby.

I tried to make it pause and recentre a few months ago and was disappointed not to find it in announcements.txt already. I support this wholeheartedly.

Just to specify, I'd love for this to be included, IF it's off by default.  I always love a game where the vanilla has a ton of options that are turned off.  It's like a candy store just a keystroke away!  "You mean I can do that?  That helps a lot!"

Agree, this could prove both useful and a way to detect FUN

Did you know that if you write 3.14 on a piece of paper and hold it in a mirror, it will say pie? And if you divide 42 by 3.14... you get 13.37!
