I found the perfect place for an embark. It was a serene woodland with water nearby, so I set up an expedition team to settle there. When I embarked, there were a TON of cave ins, and all of a sudden a message said "Horrifying screams come down from below" then I saw a bunch of demons at the opening of an adamantium vein, and the surface of the map was horribly disfigured. Part of it was normal, and the top left part of the map was just a massive hole into the abyss!

That can happen sometimes. Normally considered a glitch with worldgen. It's rarely happened, but when it does, IT CAN AND WILL BRUTALLY MURDER YOUR FPS WITH NO MERCY is mostly what I've heard.

I had to do things the old-fashioned way, and dig my way down to Hell.
It's great, I've thrown pretty much three and a half squads of Legendary Armor Users/Dodgers/Shield Users in there. One of those squads are legendary with swords, and another with pickaxes. They're all set to speed-1. Problem is, I'm watching this at what feels like 6 FPS.
