Walking songs
« on: September 01, 2011, 09:48:20 pm »

So, I'm at college, and I frequently walk back to my dorm at night alone. So I sing to give me something to listen to in the short 7 minute walk. I was wondering if anyone had anyone good walking/hiking/traveling songs they know of(my mind immediately goes to Bilbo Baggins and even Tom Bombadil). The only one I know of(that has the quality I'm looking for) is Hammer's song (from Fable 2) but this doesn't last the trip usually, and I have a feeling it'll get old very quickly.

Anything similar to that would be greatly appreciated. I know a few Scout songs, but it's not the right feeling for a solitary walk, that's more of a lively hike mood. If you know what I'm talking about.

I like it. I'm going to learn the German version since I have a few years experience in the language. This is really good! Thank you.

Some of my favorite songs to sing while I'm walking to and fro where nobody can hear my not-so-great singing voice.

*the I'm Seventeen Come Sunday march
*I Don Quixote
*What Do You Do With A Drunken Sailor

Not because they make any sense to sing while walking, but because I can do most of the lower parts with my current vocal range.

Trololo
Seriously though, it's a nice song when you realize he's just saying the equivalent of "lalalalala". Plus the lyrics are easy to remember!
