Removing and Rebuilding Weirdness (Gear Assembly and Wa
« on: November 28, 2007, 04:12:00 pm »

Some strange things I encountered:

Gear Assembly
I had power running through (windmill)->(gear)->(gear)->(pump)
The second gear is operated by a lever.
I removed the second gear, then built a new gear on the same tile.
Power now traveled from the windmill and into both gears, but not to the pump.
I attached the new gear to the lever.  Pulled the lever to turn the gear off, pulled the lever again to turn the gear on again, and now power runs all the way to the pump.

Wall Grate
I removed a wall grate, channeled the tile it was at, then tried to rebuild the grate, but it says "building present" even though the square is described as "empty space" when using 'look around'.

Also, if you build an axle (or other supporting structure) and then a waterwheel (or other hanging stucture) the Dwarves will build the hang-er first, and it doesn't fall down.
