[CTRL] + s =what does it do?

In adventure mode, when I press control and s, out of reflex from other games long past, I expect nothing to happen. Instead a box opens up that I can type in. It's similar to the "save embark profile" box in the fortress mode setup, except that I can make it happen at any time in Adventure mode. What is it? Is it a bug?

If I recall correctly you hit ctrl-r to begin recording and do a mundane task like designate stairs many z levels down then hit ctrl-s to save then hit ctrl-p to play it.It remembers what you typed during recording.

How does one quote an entire thread to the *facepalm* thread?

I've dug over ~1000 z-levels in fort lifetime, trained archery and crutch-walking manually, even knapped about 30 stones by hand and only now do I see what ____ does...

At least I can type quite well now.
