Is it possible to mod demons to be immune to Dragonfire?
« on: August 29, 2011, 04:13:14 pm »

Most of the time i generate a world these ruling demons are usually ended by Dragonfire. Which seems odd as i thought Demons were supposed to be immune to heat even a spirit of fire died to a dragons flame. I want to stop the deaths by dragonfire to see how these demons fair in Legends. I really like some of their stories but most of the time it ends in Dragon Fire.

FIREIMMUNE and FIREIMMUNE_SUPER (I think they both need to be there). That'll make your demons immune to dragon fire.

Demons, FBs, Titans and Night Creatures don't exist in the raws, they are unique to each world, created in world gen. And they aren't in the save's raws either.

I would of thought you could add properties to them well... how disappointing

If you set your save files to be uncompressed in the init then they will appear in the raws. However, you would have to go into each and every world you create and edit them to have those tags.

It would be brutally difficult and probably won't work. In other words, it's absolutely dwarven!

They are in the save file and you can edit them, but it's pretty cumbersome as i2amroy said. Also it's possible to screw the save file, so always make a backup.

Well i just modded out Dragonfire instead. Demons are now far more interesting and live much longer. I had a Demon Lord destroy 1,000 elves by himself. Also about 800 war grizzly bears. Demons always died early in my world gens due to dragon fire its far more interesting this way.

Yeah but dragons become so less fun without it :).

All they need is a deadly syndrome to replace it!
