I said it wrong. I mean there are no left/right boots in the game. Any boots work on any feet.

However there ARE left/right gauntlets, so you cannot craft those through reactions.

Okay so they should still equip the guantlets though? or no Will it not work.

No, since they are not left/right gauntlets, they cannot be equipped.

make a special upper body armor that has a UPSTEP of 3 that should cover the hands, but I think it would cover everything but the feet. ANd I think the head won't get covered to, Boots and Helm + The body armor = full protection?
