So I'm thinking of a similar but in many important ways quite different game, one based largely around how I'd intended to have the later stages be.

It would be titled Man of AMBITION!!, and it would be a game of CONQUEST based around the larger-scale base/nation mechanics I had theorized. Would people be interested in this?

Hmm, maybe I'll start that up and shelf Man of SCIENCE!! for the time being.

It'll be sad to see it go, though ;-;

I think another problem was scale and speed. We were going from surviving the world to ruling (or destroying) it. In-game that'd take at least a year. Out of game at minutes to hours an update,  that would be... a lot.

If I were running it I'd slow down the speed things happen in-game, so research takes longer, while speeding up the rate at which they do out of game.

Essentially, an update would be a month's worth of day-to-day with a few major bits, ending with any major crisis.
