Portal: No Escape
« on: August 25, 2011, 12:55:57 am »

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this as it's technically not a game, but whatever.  Some clever people have made a short live action film set in the Portal universe and it's quite frankly brilliant IMO.

You should watch it, for !!science!!

Very dramatic, well made and with a clever ending...I likes it

Or perhaps you're just sadistic and enjoy slow-cooking your goblins/kittens/nobles.

Yeah, I was really skeptical at first, because lolol CAEK IS A LIE, but the movie is genuinely interesting and involving, with an interesting protagonist and, as Zakkeh said, a really clever ending. It's really one of the better short movies I've seen.

What a strange and beautiful world I beheld, but dangerous too, I was certain. And I was friendless and homeless. And so I prayed.

I'll have to lend the special effects team some credits. The portals were definitely convincing.

Hopefully a decent film studio will see the potential and pick up the movie rights.  A feature length film done in this style would be amazing.
