I'm finally playing with the new specialized stockpiles (woot! love 'em), and I just noticed one thing.  I created a non-custom Furniture stockpile, and suddenly several dwarves were rushing to put all my empty barrels in it.  This was regardless of which labors (hauling, etc.) they had turned on.

I also notice there's no entry for "barrels" in any of the stockpile lists.

I was about to say something about this.  I can't make siege ammo stockpiles because they're filled up by barrels. =[

I'll handle this for the next one -- for now, setting a pile to "forbid furniture" and then going to allow siege ammo should stop barrels from being placed there.

Yeah, I got the same problems. Dwarves kept taking the empty barrels in my food stockpile to the furniture stockpile. I almost thought they were taking barrels with food in them also, but I might be mistaken.

Barrel problem!

I had a stockpile for all food, and then I made a stockpile for seeds and took "Seeds" out of the old stockpile settings and took everything but "Seeds" out of the settings of the new one.  Nothing happened.  No one will haul the seeds to the new stockpile.  I even undesignated the square with the seed barrel on it, and nothing happened.

I haven't had trouble getting them to move specific seed types all over the place.  Maybe there's something else going on.  I don't know.

Never mind, someone moved it.  Guess it was just low in the queue.

Weird thing is, though, the person who hauled the seed barrel didn't have food hauling on, just item hauling.
