This is a really short, forum related suggestion.

Toady, or whoever admins the forums, should add in quick reply functionality. Lots of forums have it, and it's a rather useful thing to have on the forums.

In fact, I think that SMF has a module you can just enable for quick replying.

It's already here.  I'm typing this in the Quick Reply box.  You may have to click the + next to 'Quick Reply' to show the box, or you may have hidden it in your Look and Layout settings.

Quick reply should be enabled by default.

<edit> Oh bollocks, it is. It's just not expanded by default.

Hm. Never noticed that quick reply thing until now.

Force of habit will keep me from using it though, so I suppose it doesn't matter so much.

Also, sockless: Just because someone else does things, doesn't mean we do.
