That's...upsetting. Having never used paypal, I'm tempted to ask (but I'm afraid that I know the answer,) do they have a customer service branch that you can get ahold of?

Checking again, and to clarify, it's confirming my debit/credt card. Concerning though, is that it repeatedly says debit or credit card, and everywhere else it's referred to as only credit card but I don't use it for credit, and I want to make that distinction, though there's no option. I can't get a credit card statement if I have no credit card, right? Have I been playing myself for a fool? Does my debit card double as a credit card? Cause I don't remember being informed of that. Man, I'm just angry at all this now.

The help center is made up of a large FAQ with a search engine and a Chatterbot that dispenses answers to easy questions. There isn't a real person to be found anywhere except the paypal forums.

This is rapidly turning into a situation where I have hundreds of dollars, and the will to spend it, but not being able to.

Debit cards, should they have a credit logo in the bottom left, will double as a credit card. My bank/ATM/Debit card is also a Visa.

Most places treat debit cards just like credit cards. The only difference between the two is that with a credit card, you can spend money you don't have, while you can only spend money you actually have when using a debit card.

I mean, I know the difference between debit and credit. I was just curious since the credit function of my card never seems to work at all.

You should be able to run your debit card as credit. It won't actually work liked a credit card, there's no monthly bill to pay off, it just means it'll be a few days before the money comes out of your account. Any time you don't put in your PIN (restaurants, online purchases) you're using your card as credit.
