I still can't get beekeeping to work. :( Early on in a fort, my very first hive or two gets harvested properly once, after that they just sit there forever no matter what I do. It's rather aggravating since I like the concept, but combine the amount of jobs required with the trouble of making it work at all and it's just not worth it.

And yep, I noticed the issue with grabbing "wild" hives instead of splitting "domestic" ones too.

Neat ideas for making more vermins useful!

Do the hives have any bees or products in them? How many harvestable / non-harvestable hives do you have? How many beekeepers do you have?

I am trying to make chickens lay bees as eggs. So far it only produces a single "Tame Small Creature" when a hen lays bees.
Honestly at the time, I didn't see what could go wrong with crowding 80 military Dwarves into a small room with a necromancer for the purpose of making bacon.
