Whats necromunda? One of those specialist games set in the 40k universe?
yes. gang campaign warfare.
40K base with added minimal RP character development, resources.
themed around the Necromunda underhive. prefers dense and 3d scenery.
Similar to Mordheim, which is sort of the fantasy sequel. ;)

Preorders for the new Necrons are up on GWs website. A decidedly mixed bag, in my opinion. While the deathmarks/immortals are so good I might get some even though I don't have any interest in playing Necrons, others like the flayed ones look embarrassingly silly. I don't like the crests that are on many of the units-I think they look like one of those cardboard crowns they used to give out at burger king. I have no idea what possessed them to bring out the 'classic' necron lord in finecast, do they expect anyone to actually buy that thing? What are people's thoughts on this?

Necromunda and Mordheim are the only reasons I still pay attention to GWS table top figs. The rules are easily extendible, the games are a ton of fun and so is managing your team. They're both like Bloodbowl except that I think you can actually keep your guys alive longer and better.

Plus they encourage a totally different kind of terrain than 40k allows. Mordheim/Necromunda terrain can be a work of art and be functional for gameplay. 40k terrain, less so.
