Issues with XML file editing

Well, I am trying to add a armor item, essentially, something that will make my leader less...squishy, so he does not die one round into combat, but, I did it right text wise (I think.), but when I open LCS now, I get an error:"Attempting to open filename: sitemaps.txt FAILED to load armors.xml!"
Also, I deleted what I added, and it works fine, here is my addition's XML text.

Also, if it helps, I did the editing in Wordpad and notepad...why do I think thats the issue, and if it is, what program do I have to use to edit the XML files correctly?
Thanks for any help you can give me. (I am about clueless with this kind of thing, most of the time.)

For starters, Notepad shouldn't screw up with XML files, so I'm fairly sure it wasn't that.

The issue - your <name> tag is malformed. That's probably it...

(and it's Guy Fawkes ^^)

Thanks for the help with that...but its still messed up, heres the new <name> tag...if its not notepad/wordpad, I am clueless on what is causing it...unless I accidentally messed something up with another item, by accident.  Gonna try the other version of LCS that I have (for some reason.) and see if trying it there works.

EDIT: tried to do it with the other copy of LCS, and it has the same issues.

Turns out I already did that on the first try...man, this is weird, nothing seems to work, and I KNOW its what I added that is messing it up, because if I delete it, it works as normal.

Turns out it WAS the body_covering issue, IT WORKS! Now to test it out ingame, thanks everyone for the help!
