SO MUCH FUN!@!

Hi everyone. I just started playing Dwarf Fortress today and I used the quick start guide to teach me the basics, planning on working out everything else myself ;)

Anyway I'm taking a break after 3 hours just to tell you how much FUN I am having.

DAMN YOU ENRAGED DWARF... DAMN YOUUUUU!

So tell me... what kind of awesome fun experiences have you guys had today?

I scheduled classes for college. I was then taken by a fey mood, couldn't get the classes I wanted, and killed everyone with a wool sock. Glad you're having fun!

Hi pencil. Seeing a bunch of war elephants help my troops pound a mountain titan into a puddle was fun today.

My dwarves spent most of today securing the river-crossing from the hordes of giant badgers...'twas a glorious fight, and the fallen will be remembered forever... 8)   

maybe because of the pc gamer article, a diary about DF. Thats were I came from :P

I had a group of elven archers kill off all the workers on a giant Obsidian tower I'm building, despite my horde of war trolls.

perhaps i'll make ogres embarkable, see how war ogres stack up to war trolls.

Welcome to DF! It's good to see new players.

I had a lot of FUN today when a goblin seige snuck into my fort by getting on one of the walls. The result was an epic battle five stories off the ground and a lot of bodies splattered in the courtyard below. The remains of my army broken and bleeding, the day was saved by a retired soldier with paralyzed legs that finished off the invading trolls by beating them to death with his crutch.

I love this game.

I'm falling in love with this game. It's really good

now OT: I had some more fun.... I just found out that cave ins can happen and that they can kill dwarfs. Off to a new fortress!

This time I plan on finding out how to kill kittens, seeing as my cat just bit me.

Go to the "z" screen, select animals at the top, scroll down to the animals, and hit b to designate them for butchering.

Thats is too easy for kittens--i saw build some craftsworkshops, a 15z level drop above a chained cat and some lever-wired hatches.  Everytime kittens are born==bone rain!
