Aquifers not showing up in aquifer-labeled areas

When I try to locate aquifer areas with the site finder, it sometimes turns out to have no actual aquifers despite being designated as having an aquifer layer.  Is this a minor fault within the game's code or is there a logical reason behind it?

Also, I would really appreciate it if the next version had a site finder that can find specific types of biomes (swamps, mountains, forests).

You may have embarked in an area with multiple biomes. One part may have an aquifer, but another part may not.
