I really just want war animals, nothing fancy, I just need to TRAIN THEM.

Make the bottom of the mass pit connect to underneath the entrance tunnel to your fort that you have lined with floor hatches and fill it with giant badgers.

When the gobbos are standing on the floor hatches, pull the lever and introduce them to your wild giant badger welcoming committee.
Now THAT is an idea.

I have modded them with [PET] and [TRAINABLE], I can tame them, BUT THEY WONT TRAIN!

If you mod the raws after creating the fortress, it won't effect the current fortress.
I know there are ways to make the changes effect the current one, but I'm not sure what they are.

Actually, the only modding that requires a new world is adding new objects.

Odds are he just changed the global raws, not that saves' raws when he added [TRAINABLE].

If he got them to be tamed he must know to edit the saved games raws not the global.  They should be [TRAINABLE] now, but the only command that will show up in the kennels will still read "train a war dog".  Disregard that and set it to repeat, and the task will actually capture any war-capable animal.

I'm going to copy/paste from another post of mine because I just realized what the problem most likely is:

The "Train a <hunting/war> dog" task doesn't actually mean dog - it means any animal that can be trained.

Also, it can't be caged or chained. It can be pastured, but if it is it will only be available for training if the kennel's also in that pasture. The animal has to be able to actually get to the kennel.

Either you have the two non-pastured badgers restrained or they can't path to the kennel.
