Exactly. Ethics in DF are very realistic - trivial and pointlessly selectively ex/inclusive.

How do you add the adjective? Could you add [SLURRED_VOICE]?

Don't think you need to, It uses what ever is in the [PREFSTRING:X] IIRC

so [PREFSTRING:Slurred voice] or [PREFSTRING:Overuse of the word Crikey] etc

Fort going well so far, waiting for the first generation of crocdiles to mature. Got 500 eggs that I will use for food right now.

OOH! Mod them to be trainable into war/hunting crocs. Suddenly that crocsplosion spells the end of a goblin siege.

News from the front!

Without any freaking thieves appearing first, goblin ambush! And ALL archers.

Both wrestlers dead, and a stupid metal crafter that apparently was doing something in the forest (damn elf).

However once they closed in on the crocodile population, o'boy.

It was a massacre. However a few crocs were lost. I still have 3-4 pages of mostly hatchlings. Hope these dumb things grow up soon, they have a fort to defend.

I think the above 3 posts are a great representation of the main stages of a DF fort. "This'll be coo.l" "This IS cool." and "SHIT. INVADERS."

Okay guys, I'm fearful of loading up the save. My entrance is haunted by a ghost and 50% of my croc hatchlings got raped (why did they not fight back, the cowards. They had the numbers)

So I got zero weapons that I'm allowed to use, no leather armor, a bunch of scared dwarves behind doors and the 3rd ambush in a year outside my doors.

Is there a way to make cave crocodiles reach maturity faster?

Yes, there is!
Go to the Raws of your current save, open "creature_subterranean.txt", then search for "[CHILD:3]" in the crocodile_cave entry.
Change it to [CHILD:1] and your hatchlings will mature in one year.

In one fort, I modded minotaurs to be tamable and made one of them mayor by chaining him in the dining hall.

I'm an Australian, and i approve this madness. Oy!  Oh and for added Aussie dwarfness, mod in big knives as weapons.

Go do the entities RAW folder, and under the dwarf section, add [WEAPON_ITEM_WEAPON:LARGE_DAGGER] (at least I think that's what it is).

You guys gotta add entries of your fort, that way we know what happens.  Too bad I can't do this for myself, because I can't survive in a normal, peaceful fort without giving up due to boredom and frustration with the learning curve.
