How do i know if creatures fight each other?

For instance , i just captured a Draltha and a large rat , Will they fight? since they are both from the same cave

Dont even dare to say "Put them both in an arena"

Draltha and large rats aren't agressive unless cornered, so even if you did pit them into an arena, they wouldn't fight. Get a crundle and pit it against the draltha, see what happens.

But how do i know who will fight (Without putting them into a pit)

you never know I had a kobold and a elf in the same pit for years two tiles part thy never fought.

So i guess .... Its up to guessing?
Groundhog vs Large rat?

throw them in a one tile pit they will fight I use it for my "pet" elves.

im building an arena where goblins / kobolds / elfs / humans can fight monsters / animals , Unfortunatly i cant find to capture any humanoids (Im not willing to fight with my gladiators yet)

Elves will not fight wild animals, humans will, both will fight goblins, who will never fight wild animals.  All three will fight forgotten beasts and titans and cyclopses and the like. Animals will not.
