Page down not working in LCS

Has anyone else experienced this problem? Are there known fixes?

I know the key isn't broken; it works fine for other applications.

Try changing the key command to something else.

There's a config.txt file you can change the setting on. Brackets is preferred if you have an English keyboard.

Brackets is the default setting on the 4.04 community release (which you can download from the stickied thread in this forum), while PageDown is the default setting on 3.09, the last official Bay12Games release, dated to 2004. If you got the game from the Bay12Games page on LCS, I would suggest trying 4.04 too.

??? How is a version of LCS hosted at a Bay 12 Official Forum and released by one the forum's moderators not a official version of the game?

The "official" version is the last one made by Toady One. He then released the source, and it's being developed here. Toady himself has been concentrating on Dwarf Fortress, leaving LCS for us mortals to handle.
