I started a fortress on part tundra part glacier and part (ant)arctic ocean.  I knew I'd need allot of provisions so I bought 200 units of lungfish meat.  However it wasn't even summer yet before I realized that all of my dwarves were suffering from hunger and that the wagon was still full of barrels even thouhg I had a large food stockpile with free space.  I took a look and all the barrels were empty.  So I have tons of drinks but my dwarves are starving and I can't seem to find any fish either.

I think I've had food mysteriously disappear in this version too. I only noticed becouse I packed 30 turtles at the start and when I checked the kitchen menu after getting a legendary record keeper their were no turtles but their were no shells in the dinning room or refuse pile either and I hadn't done any cooking.

When I followed the my first fortress guide as I usually do and get every type of 2 money meat I haven't had that problem.  This is the first time this version I took only one type of meat and the first time I ended up with nothing.

Meat left outside ( and in some cases, inside ) on glacier maps will decay. As a rule I only bring helmets to freezing maps.

So meat lasts longer in a steamy jungle than a glacier?

That's odd, because like I said, I had a big Food stockpile inside my fort but the food was already gone.  Also, this didn't happen to me on the last glacier map i played on, and that was full glacier.

I've found meat decaying on all glacier maps I've made since the 3D version came out so I figure it's suppose to happen. Freezer burn I guess.

The cold manages to vaporize the meat.

Only glaciers?  I know I didn't have it happen on my first glacier fort.

This also happened to me, had about 200meat in a freezing map, I  tried to move it underground sharpish but it was lost.
