Pets and marauding wildlife.
« on: July 26, 2011, 06:41:56 am »

How do you guys manage to take care of your animals? At the moment I have around 50 dogs with a clear majority of them crawling around with broken spines and huge scars after deciding it would be hilarious to bite that moose standing next to the cliff. I have possibly the most mangy and beaten up collection of animals that I'm trying to take care of but they literally will not stop fighting.

In fact, one dog managed to get a name after drowning two Goblins and killing a third only to have her spine kicked in by a moose. Poor little thing keeps trying to fight turkeys too, the bastards won't give up.

tl;dr Dogs, y u no leave wildlife alone? What do I do?

Make a pasture in a room inside.  Assign all your dogs to it, except for those you keep chained up as watchdogs.

Sucks the animal caretaker job is bugged... would like to heal up the dogs that valiantly acted as distractions from the soldiers.
