Bug Fix mod?
« on: July 24, 2011, 06:18:38 am »

Is there a plain and simple vanilla based bug fix only mod? I thought there was on running around not to long ago but I cant find it. While I love the features of some mods I just want the base game that I know has a good number of INI based bugs that are not to hard to fix (unless that's changed...I haven't actually played .25 yet >.>)

What bugs are you looking to have fixed?

none specifically...just wondered if there is a compilation of sorts...I know fixes for most the bugs (have to look them all up as I forgot most of em) but it would be nice if the bugs that can be found and fixed player side were able to be downloaded in one fell swoop.

My biggest "bug" is the ability to stack armors and crap and end up with like a million cloaks and what not...partly because it makes basic and uniform dress code hard...you have seven dwarfs and seven cloaks but one of them like to take em all etc

The biggest problem with most of the bugs is that the things that they deal with are hardcoded things, and the few "bugs" that are able to be changed from the raws might not always be viewed as bugs. I mean truthfully I wouldn't view the cloak thing as a bug because you actually can wear like a million cloaks if you wanted to (it would be hella hot and heavy, but it would still be possible). As for most of the other "bug fix mods" that you might of seen, several of them may have been back from a while ago when the tissue system desperately needed rebalancing so that bears could do more then dent skin with their teeth and claws. Luckily Toady has fixed that by now though, so those mods have sort of fallen into disuse.
