Shrub/Tower Cap growth
« on: June 15, 2007, 12:17:00 am »

In my latest fortress the cave river was very deep.  I just finished setting up my huge treee farms rooms for the east side of the river and ran into a problem.

The rooms extend from the river almost to the chasm, but about 15 tiles east of the river's eastern most point is the edge of where things will naturally grow.  I have flooded the whole room through numerous years, and there is clear demarcation line for growth.

Anyhow, with all the changes effecting the layout of the mountain and such I figure this should be fixed for future versions, but might be easily overlooked.

I actually don't think that's a problem.  It's based on distance from the surface or, in other words, the "amount of light" it gets.  Meaning, the cave river should not affect the line.
