How to mod so that dwarves become adults straight when they are born?

You can remove the baby stage entirely, but im not so sure if you can with the child stage. I think taking out the child tag entirely would just make them not have children, so in that case your minimal childhood length would be 1 year.

Though you can allways bump out both baby and child tags and see what happens.

Well I removed both and it works fine if you make them lay eggs.

Well I removed both and it works fine if you make them lay eggs.

I'm curious, does that give them the same behavior as poultry with incubation and such? Will dwarven eggs be hauled off to your food stockpile?

yes eggs will be hauled off so better forbid them right when the miss lays them.
