Acita:"Wonder where Cimathi is..."
Macetha:"I really hope he actually WILL come back, you know how it sometimes is..."
Acita:"True. But Cimathi was always a tough one, he wouldn't go down easy."
Macetha:"Wait, do you feel that?"
Acita:"Huh..?"

*Hole opens in the ground, elven head pops out of hole*

Cimathi:"Hi there. How are you?"
Acita:"Umm... How did you end up down there..?"
Cimathi:"The dwarves wouldn't let me leave just like that. Had to go through mefayo."

*Macetha faints*

Cimathi:"Also had to carve some picks to mine our way up. I wonder how much the dwarves will pay for these Slade picks next time..."

*Acita faints*

If you remember 40d, the circus there had special engravings and sometimes caged creatures in the little tent. I always wondered how they got there... now I know. They were lost merchants desperately trying to escape.

Unfortunately i wasn't here yet back in the times of 40d

But, to me it seems that when no new updates come for a while, we get experience retroactively. Decades from now I may be saying: "Back when we didn't have z-levels yet we..."
