Transformer? Nah, I'm connecting this to a bike, which gives anywhere between 10v and 30v, after rectifying and smoothing.

So you're driving your bike around without a speedometer at the moment? Is this problematic or just annoying?

Well, the open hole is a little annoying, but that's about it.

my daily commute is about 10km.

I scrapped my old board, made a new one that fits better.




Power supply will be on a different board, and will be less cramped.

Up until this point I was convinced that you were talking about rigging this to your pushbike and not your famous motorbike. While I still admire your SCIENCE! skillz, I must confess that I'm somewhat dissapointed.
