If you open a single channel on a reservoir that's about 14x14x2 full of water, it doesn't stream out.  It just goes from dry to "OMGWATER" and the receiving end is flooded out.  Whoopsy....

That's pressure I had the same thing with an ocean once.

Oh, i know that.  Just wasn't expecting it to just immediately SWITCH from dry to water.  I was expecting, at worst, a very quick wave moving through the channel.

Already devised a fun little security system in my head.  The only problem is a bloody forgotten beast has managed to flood the controls to the reservoir.  Making sure to bash open the route i botched earlier so it's not just a simple pump-out, it's flowing in from the same cavern as the reservoir's intake. It's sitting in the end of a small corridor filled with water, so pretty sure it's at least stuck.  That'll teach the bastard.
