Civilization Expansion Problems

Been doing a little editing for the My Little Fortress pony mod and- NO DON'T LEAVE I NEED HELP!!

Still hear? Ok, cool.

Well, the only problem I'm working on right now is how the pony civ's never seem to expand outwards in world gen. They build a town, two or four hamlets, and that's it. Not much of an empire. I'm trying to work the entity file for ponies to get them off there lazy tails but I really don't know what I'm doing and mostly just flying blind. Any Ideas or help would be greatly appreciated!  :D


Also, the pegasi ponies have a hard time using there Flyer tags. Any idea why? I think the pathing system just doesn't support it in fortress mode for playable races.

Indeed flying in fort mode is imperfect.
How many offspring do they make per mating? Try increasing Littersize and MaxAge to get more population.
Also, they have outdoor farming and live in "CITY" type settlement? Then they can farm food.

Edit your entity's biomes, eg.
   [START_BIOME:ANY_DESERT]
   [START_BIOME:ANY_WETLAND]
   [BIOME_SUPPORT:ANY_DESERT:6]
   [BIOME_SUPPORT:ANY_WETLAND:2]
   [BIOME_SUPPORT:ANY_LAKE:1]
   [BIOME_SUPPORT:ANY_RIVER:1]
to allow expanding into other biomes.

Try changing
   [MAX_POP_NUMBER:2000]
   [MAX_SITE_POP_NUMBER:120]
dunno if making site's popcap small makes for faster expansion.

And finally... worldgen has "how many sites allowed",    [SITE_CAP:1500]. Increase that to threefold.

Thank man, wasn't expecting help so soon!  :)

Not sure about the world gen thing, the Zebra civ expands just fine. They do use the forest_city tag so that could have something to do with that.

Going to try out the site pop cap thing. Dose increasing the biome number increase site number, or is it just a location preference? 

P.S. Will allowing fort creation help with expatiation? I just figured out how to get the little pacifists to build them. Yay.
