Moving ballistas
« on: July 01, 2011, 11:25:36 pm »

is there a way to move ballistas, save de and re constructing them?
rolling them about? lifting them up? dropping them down?

Life (in dwarf fortress) is a cocophany of flavours, each more succulent than the last - why not sample them all?!

Nope.  You can only change the direction they are facing.  Other than that, siege weapons are immobile.

Hmm does this mean that greaves+highboots leave the kneecap exposed?

Greaves and highboots combined cover everything below the belt, why would the picture of the roman and the balista make you think it would??

I was thinking greaves is that kind of skirt he was wearing. I've googled it a bit and now i'm even more confused, because it looks like greaves is any kind of thing you put on your legs. Then how does it protect the lower body?

I have heard some time ago that they are supposed to be some kind of metal pants, much like the kind the knights in medieval times wore.

EDIT: In dwarf fortress
