"Watch Sparring Practice"
« on: September 16, 2011, 02:47:42 pm »

For everyone who has wondered what the Legendaries do when they've maxed their skills... They entertain themselves by watching the greentags train up!

All men are in squads of 2, both Zaneg and his pair Logem, as well as a few other pairs, follow other squads spar. They are maxed in Weapon, Shield and Fighter. Apparently they think they're good enough to just slack off...

Played the game for over a year now and first time I see that. I thought they just keep sparring...

Yep they're all active and set to train, no schedules, nothing. Since the barracks is right next from front door I dont need to use patrols and happiness has never been an issue if I dont conscript the psychos.

I've noticed it in some of my forts a couple times.  I believe it may be like watching a general demonstration but have no proof to back my claim

The interesting thing here is that 2 whole squads (4 Dwarves) were doing it - watching OTHER squads spar. Once one of the, or more likely the other one of the sparring Dwarves decided to go get a drink and they stopped sparring, the observing squads started a "biting demonstrations" of their own. Lol.

They were kibbitzing and giving tips obviously.

Any mention on it in their profiles.  I see fighters often commenting on "having a good sparring session", so perhaps they will have "heartily entertained by amateur fighting theatrics" entered now...

I've seen plenty of dwarves do this, even when not maxed out. I threw a squad together for one fort and just had them all training and I noticed the two Wrestlers had organized a demonstration and all the other dwarves were watching them xD

I thought it was pretty cool, like they were the only two with the skills so they were giving everyone else a 101.
