Choosing starting pack animals?

Is there a way to choose the animals that pull the wagon?  I usually get 1 horse and 1 water buffalo, but it would be nice to get at least 1 female camel so I can get an early start on the cheese industry without paying 101 points.

You can't choose them, unfortunately. I suppose you could edit the raws such that only one domestic species had the [WAGON_PULLER] tag, which I believe is what allows an animal to be brought, but you might still end up with 2 males.

Embark with sheep. Cheaper and also milkable + wool.
